What Do I Eat?
I’ve always been into food and nutrition and over the years have tried a variety of things. I also happen to have a passion for delicious food. This blog started as a food blog.
As a result, I’m frequently plagued with the questions “what are you eating these days?” The funny thing is, is that I’ve always pretty much eaten the same thing: almost everything, except flesh.
I wake up and I make a little smoothie. Some orange juice, coconut oil, honey, collagen and casein. Blended up. I sip on that while I make something for breakfast, usually pancakes or French toast. I’ll also drink down 1 whole egg and 3 yolks raw.
On my way to the office, I’ll get a double espresso with 3 sugars.
For a snack, I might have some parmigiana regiano with honey or berries, depending on the season. Or some milk and honey.
I’ll come home for lunch and to take Minnie for a walk. I typically have white rice cooked in either bone broth or bone broth based butternut squash soup. I’ll have this with more parmigiana regiano.
Another double espresso 3 sugars on the way back to the office.
While I prepare dinner, I like to snack on a carrot salad. Shredded carrot, ACV, coconut oil and salt.
I love potatoes. In a variety of ways. I like to cube them up and bake them with garlic, rosemary, thyme, sage and ghee. Melt cheddar cheese on top. Serve with a few soft boiled eggs and a cup of garlic-ginger bone broth. The best. That’s my favorite dinner.
For dessert/late night snack I love root beer floats. You just really can’t go wrong with one. The perfect send off for some hearty ZZZs.
So that’s what I eat in a typical day. I was raised a vegetarian but just recently started branching out. This summer I introduced fish and have enjoyed all different kinds. Oysters have been good. I’m a huge bone broth fan now. I tried steak once, but I’m on the fence. I tried chicken once too.
Note: before you try this diet, be aware I recently gained 45 pounds. But as per Realtor rules, I have to use the same headshot for at least 30 years.
