A Winter Warmer
This is a retake on a classic. I enjoy winding down in the evenings with a warm drink. And this is the simplest, and probably one of my favorites. I usually only make this version in the winter. Here we go, the big reveal. Hot lemonade. You read that right. Lemonade, but hot. Here’s what you’ll need and how to do it:
Lemons
Maple syrup
Sea salt
Hot water
Warm up some water. I usually get it just hot enough so that you can still sip it. There’s no need to get it too hot, there’s no steeping going on.
Juice a lemon into a glass. Add slightly less than an equal amount of maple syrup. Pinch in a tiny bit of sea salt. Add hot water to fill, and voila!
Warms the heart and soul. And great for digestion.
