Breguet: Keeping Us On Time Since 1775

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.  I think that must be Breguet’s motto.  People say all the time, “all you need for success is consistency.”  Well, Breguet has been consistent since 1775, when it was founded by Abraham-Louis Breguet.  It’s one of the oldest watchmakers still around, and also happens to the first company to make a wristwatch!  It’s currently a Swatch company.

You know how they say behind every great man is a great woman?  Well, Abraham owes his business to his wife.  He funded it through her dowery!  The story goes, that it was an instant success.  Next think you know, Marie Antoinette and Lots XIV are placing orders.
